Ready to start doing more with your computer? Want to fill gaps in your knowledge? How about updating word processing or spreadsheet skills? You can do all that during our "Open Lab for Microsoft Word & Excel." Call 657-8258 to register, or visit the Reference Desk. In the open lab, students will utilize Microsoft's own online tutorials using a headset and going at their own pace. Come to one or all four in this series (Wednesdays in February). Hands-on practice is part of the tutorials, and an instructor is available during the lab time.

Parmly Billings Library is pleased to announce a special event: TEDxBillingsLive - TED Talks at the Library. This event is an all-day live simulcast of the TED2012 Conference on leap year day - February 29 from 9:30 am - 7:45 pm. Drop in for as many TED Talks as you can. Registration is encouraged by calling our Reference Desk at 657-8258.

The TED Conference began in 1984 bringing together speakers from the worlds of technology, entertainment and design. Since then, inspired speakers from other disciplines including business, science and culture captivate audiences with innovative presentations and ideas worth sharing.
